My new semester started a couple of months ago and since I am now in final year of med school, I have been like super busy, guys! But I have a bunch of stuffs to review and I promise I will be posting them up soon in my blog. So, stay tuned, babes!
Anyway, I’m gonna finish posting up my Japan haul and this is the last item from it! Since Lush Handmade Cosmetics was not available in Malaysia yet during my Japan trip and I have not tried any of their products, my bucket list was to get find a Lush store in Japan and get one of their lip scrub although there has been a huge hype about the bath bombs because I have been reading so many good reviews about them thus, I decided to give them a try myself. Hopefully my review will be heads up for you as Lush Handmade Cosmetics has finally arrived in Malaysia and if you are planning to get their lip scrub, you will know what to expect. Here’s what I think! I decided to get the Bubblegum Lip Scrub.
The lip scrub is available in 4 flavours: Bubblegum, Honey, Chocolate and Mint Julips. Product description on the website for the Bubblegum flavoured lip scrub is as below:
Have a sweet tooth? This sugary treat was made for you! With a sweet, candy-like flavor that’s true to its name, Bubblegum is one delightful lip scrub. Fine castor sugar gives lips a gentle exfoliation and hydrating organic jojoba oil leaves them feeling soft, smooth and supple. The best part? Licking off the delicious sugar once you’re through!
How to use: Take a pea-sized amount and scrub your lips soft, then lick off the excess.
Packaging: I liked the packaging because it is made of glass which is environmentally friendly. It can be carried easily in your handbag as it wasn’t that heavy.
Product and Impression: Well, their main ingredient is castor sugar. The castor sugar was course thus it acts as a really good exfoliator of dry and chapped lips. Plus, it doesn’t feel hurt when there is a break on your lips. Thus, it is lips friendly. What I like about this lip scrub is that, it tastes so sweet and also smells like bubblegum, so, while exfoliating my lips, the castor sugar melts off and I get to lick off the excess and it was yummy. LOL. My lips felt soft after using this lip scrub and I carried on my applying liquid matte lip after that and it was so comfortable.
What I didn’t like about this product: Since its made of sugar, if you are not careful, it can get messy and sticky. When applying, make sure you take enough using your finger and carefully apply within your lip borders. Because if you take too much of product, while scrubbing it tend to get super messy leaving the outer parts of your lips very sticky and smelling like bubblegum. If that happens, you just got to wash it off.
I would definitely go for this lip scrub again and I can’t wait to try other products from Lush Handmade Cosmetics. So glad that Lush is finally open in Malaysia! I would also love to try the other flavours of their lip scrub.
